Utility Discount Program
Located in downtown Seattle, between Marion & Columbia Streets. Call King County Metro at (206) 553-3000 or visit | Utility Discount Program (UDP) - Offers a rate discount for income-eligible Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utilities (water, sewer, garbage) customers. Discount is approximately 50% for Seattle Public Utilities. UDP provides 60% discount on Seattle City Light bills and a 50% discount on Seattle Public Utilities bills. If a landlord pays all utilities, qualifying low-income tenants may still be eligible for utility financial help. | Coordinates discount programs for eligible Seattle City Light and Seattle Public Utility customers.

Upward Bound Program
Upward Bound Program offered by City of Seattle's Department of Education and Early Learning (DEEL) at Garfield High School | Located in the Central District of Seattle, just north of E Alder St. Call King County Metro at (206) 553-3000 or visit | Helps prepare low-income and/or first-generation Seattle high school youth for post-secondary education through academic instruction and tutoring, academic and personal counseling, life skills and leadership development, career exploration and planning, college application assistance, financial aid workshops and college tours. Also requires a six-week summer academic program at Seattle University with high school credit available. | Provides a variable subsidy for families living in Seattle who are in need of financial assistance for child care.

Housing Assistance
Located in downtown Seattle's Pioneer Square, at the intersection of 2nd Ave & Yesler Way. Across the street from Pioneer Square Light Link Rail Station. Call King County Metro at (206) 553-3000 or visit | Chief Seattle Club has periodic funding that may provide rental assistance, including past-due utilities, to those requiring assistance contingent on eligibility requirements. The homelessness prevention program only serves zip codes located in the City of Seattle. Chief Seattle Club's Rapid Rehousing program provides case management and temporary financial assistance to eligible members. The program assists members experiencing homelessness find long-term, affordable housing. The program requires the individuals search for housing in King County, outside counties are not eligible for assistance, and to be making under 50% of the area median income. | Operates a drop-in center for Native Americans and Alaska Natives, providing supportive services such as clothing, meals, hygiene items and assessment/referral to drug and alcohol treatment, health care, mental health and more. Assists with applications and questions regarding DSHS benefits. Provides support on getting an ID, glasses, housing assistance and case management services. Provides cultural programming and an art program.

Seattle Youth Employment Program

The goal is to increase youth and young adults' ability to pursue careers that pay well and are meaningful to them. There are two components - a school-year program and learning experience, and a summer internship: -- A school-year program (three quarters: fall, winter, spring) where participants identify professional interests, gain marketable skills, are exposed to various career fields and build their social network; -- A summer internship places young people in work settings to apply their knowledge, gain hands-on experience, develop professional connections and build their resume. | Offers work readiness training for youth, including career exploration, internships and case management.
