    Anything Helps was founded in 2021 by a small-but-mighty team of experienced social workers and advocates with extensive personal and professional experience surviving in the streets and working on the front lines of homelessness.

    Mike Mathias, Executive Director

    MIKE MATHIAS, NCPS

    EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

    Mike's lived experience with homelessness and addiction give him a perspective few leaders in this field can offer. He is a nationally certified peer specialist and a lead fidelity reviewer with the Washington State Health Care Authority, where he evaluates Permanent Supportive Housing programs across Washington State. His work has been recognized nationally, including a Most Promising Practice award at the 2023 National Alliance to End Homelessness conference. Mike believes people are the experts of their own lives and that those closest to problems are often closest to solutions.

    Gail Rawson, Lead Administrator

    LEAD ADMINISTRATOR

    Gail brings more than twenty years of administrative experience to Anything Helps. She is also a state-certified peer specialist and serves clients of Anything Helps directly, grounding her work in both administrative leadership and direct service. Since joining Anything Helps in 2023, her broad skill set has continued to strengthen the organization's daily work. Gail holds a degree in the humanities from Wells College.

    Mark Garrett, Board Chairman

    Mark is a retired Microsoft research engineer that made significant contributions to Internet development throughout his career. Today, Mark serves as Chairman of the Anything Helps Board of Directors. Mark actively assists the homeless community through direct outreach and is considered an expert at assisting people experiencing homelessness with obtaining their State ID and establishing state residency - a process he calls "ID from scratch."

    Greg Jones, Board Member

    Greg Jones, DNP, PMHNP-BC, CPC

    BOARD MEMBER

    Doctor, faith leader, and developer of social infrastructure, Greg's work brings together psychiatry, governance, public ritual, and system design, all in the service of stronger communities. As a post-conventional spiritual leader and social practice artist, he moves fluidly across care, culture, and civic life, developing projects that expand collective wellbeing and deepen human connection. From founding Pray Phone, an interactive interfaith art installation rooted in locally donated prayer, to launching innovative community health initiatives through Lucid Living, Dr. Greg's work reflects a deep commitment to care, meaning, and the future of collective life.

    Sam is a Seattle-based systems economist who has focused on housing stability since 1998, bringing decades of experience in the structural, operational, and data challenges that shape whether people can obtain and retain housing. He is the founder of DMIS, a platform built to connect people experiencing housing instability with vital resources and support in real time, with an emphasis on making complex systems more responsive, coordinated, and usable. Sam helps strengthen our capacity to grow sustainably while maintaining secure, compliant data-handling practices that protect client information.

    With a Master's degree in social work with an emphasis on policy planning and personal experiences with foster care and homelessness, Evodio is a dynamic force at Anything Helps. He is dedicated to providing services that are tailored to the unique needs of each client. Evodio believes in social justice and models that faith to his children, encouraging them to volunteer and participate in experiences that foster empathy and a sense of community.
